Leonard Cohen house

Leonard Cohen’s house in Hydra, where the legendary poet, lyricist, and songwriter spent several years, is a three-story residence featuring five interior rooms and a spacious patio. He bought the home in 1960 using an inheritance from his grandmother and lived there continuously for seven years. Its distinctive whitewashed walls, large windows, and gray double door with a unique hand-shaped door knocker make it easily recognizable.
Although the house remains closed to the public, as it is still owned by Cohen’s family, fans of his work often stop by to take photos. Following his passing in 2016, admirers gathered outside the residence to pay tribute, leaving flowers and heartfelt notes at the entrance in his memory.
