Pefkaki — swimming spot
Pefkaki is a swimming spot, not a beach: no stretch of sand or pebbles to lie on, just straight into deep, clear water from the shore. It is the kind of place islanders stop at for a quick dip on the way through.
It sits right beside Pefkaki taverna, about 700 m (10 minutes) west of Hydra port along the flat seaside path. The fishing harbour of Kamini is a minute further on, and Kaminia beach about five.
How to get there
About 700 m (10 minutes) west of Hydra port on the flat coastal path, just past Avlaki. No steps, no hills.
Where to eat & drink
Pefkaki taverna is right here by the water. A minute further on, at the fishing harbour, are Kodylenia's and the Kamini all-day bar.
Facilities
None to speak of — this is a stop for a swim, not a day out. The taverna next door covers everything else.
