Mandraki Beach Resort

Just east of Hydra town lies Mandraki, the island's main sandy beach — a sheltered bay of clear turquoise water, home to the Mandraki Beach Resort. It is a fully organised beach with straw umbrellas and sunbeds, a beach bar, water sports and all-day dining right by the sea, plus a boutique hotel.
Getting there. Walk about 25–30 minutes along the coastal path east of the port, or take the resort's little shuttle boat (Captain M) from Hydra harbour.
Shuttle boat: departs Hydra port every 30 minutes, 10:00 – 19:00 · round trip €10 (free with a dinner reservation). The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner — Mediterranean & sushi — with sunset views over Hydra.
