Kouloureio Hospital

The Kouloureio Hospital «Panagia Faneromeni» has been caring for Hydra since 1982 — a charitable foundation of Athanasios and Vera Koulouras, and the island's medical heart. It provides primary healthcare with pathology and paediatrics, microbiology and radiology laboratories, and visiting outpatient clinics (surgery, cardiology, ophthalmology, orthopaedics, gynaecology). Serious cases are stabilised and transferred to mainland hospitals.
