Nari Ward's "Until That Day" — this summer's show at the Slaughterhouse

Every summer, the art world finds its way down the coastal path toward Mandraki — and this year it walks toward the work of Nari Ward. The Jamaican-born, New York-based artist, celebrated for sculptures built from found and discarded objects, has taken over the DESTE Foundation's Project Space at the old Slaughterhouse with Until That Day, an exhibition touching on migration, belonging and cultural identity — themes that feel at home in a building perched between the rocks and the open sea.
The show opened on 23 June and runs until 31 October 2026. Entry is free. Go towards evening, when the light softens over the water, and combine it with a swim at Vlychos or dinner in Mandraki on the way back.
