Lecture: “Penelope Delta, a Greek of the Diaspora” — Alexander Kitroeff

The Historical Archive – Museum of Hydra hosts a lecture by Alexander Kitroeff, historian and Professor of History at Haverford College in Pennsylvania, on “Penelope Delta, a Greek of the Diaspora”.

Penelope Delta (1874–1941) was born in Alexandria into the Greek community of Egypt and became one of the most widely read authors in the Greek language — a life lived, as the title suggests, between a homeland and a diaspora.

A discussion with the audience follows. The evening is moderated by historian and archivist Konstantina Adamopoulou, President of the GAK/IAMY.
