Gorgones kai Magkes (Mermaids and Wideboys), 1968 — a much-loved Finos Film musical comedy shot on Hydra. It gave Greek cinema one of its most immortal songs: Marinella's «Anoixe Petra» (Open, Stone), written by Lefteris Papadopoulos and composed by Mimis Plessas. With time running out on set, Marinella sang it in a single take — and it launched her solo career. The film's whitewashed lanes and blue harbour are pure 1960s Hydra.
