hydra2go.com is a guide to the island of Hydra, Greece. It is run from Greece and hosted on our own server in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany). For anything about your data, write to us: listings@hydra2go.com.

The short version

This website sets no cookies for visitors, shows no ads, uses no third-party trackers, and does not sell or share data with anyone. Every part of the site — pages, images, fonts — is served from our own server, so your visit is not reported to Google, Facebook or any other company.

Visitor statistics

We keep simple, anonymous statistics so we can understand what visitors find useful. For each page view we record: the page, the language, the date and time, the country (estimated from the network address using an offline database), the device type (phone or computer), how you arrived (for example "from Facebook"), and how long the page stayed open.

We do not store your IP address. Unique visitors are counted with a one-way code that cannot be traced back to you and automatically resets every day. No profile of you exists, and nothing follows you to other websites.

Server logs

Like practically every website, our web server keeps standard technical logs (which include IP addresses) for security purposes — for example to block attacks. These are deleted automatically after about two weeks.

Business listings

Businesses appear on hydra2go.com with material their owners send us by email (descriptions, photos, contact details, location). We publish exactly the contact details the business asks us to show. If you run a listed business, you can ask us at any time to correct or remove your listing. Email correspondence is kept for administration of the listings.

Links to other sites

Our pages link to external websites and social media (for example a taverna's Facebook page). Once you leave hydra2go.com, the privacy policy of the site you visit applies.

Your rights

Under EU law (GDPR) you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data concerning you. Since we store no personal data about visitors, such requests in practice concern business listings — write to listings@hydra2go.com and we will respond promptly.

Changes

If the site ever changes how it handles data, this page will be updated first.
